Inbound recruitment is candidates applying to a posted job on their own. Outbound recruitment is a recruiter reaching out to candidates first. Inbound works well for roles with strong employer brand or high applicant interest. Outbound is usually needed for niche, senior, or passive-candidate-heavy roles. Most hiring strategies use a mix of both.
